During the summer months the census population of 903 people is dramatically increased by the hundreds of seasonal residents that flow in to use their beach homes and vacationers renting beach properties by the week. From grocery stores, to free entertainment (during the summer months), Bethany has everything a beachgoer would need. The town offers public concerts at the “Bandstand” from Memorial Day through Labor Day, a beachfront boardwalk, metered parking, and several parks and playgrounds. Just north of Bethany Beach, the Delaware Seashore State Park provides beach accesses and long stretches of open sand.
