Along with the National Security Agency (NSA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Defense Information School (DIS), Defense Courier Service (DCS) and the prestigious Army field band, the base will also be the home of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) before 2011. This time of rapid growth for the Fort Meade area, including a conservative estimate of 10,000 new jobs created, means that housing is also going to remain strong. With shopping districts and public recreation areas throughout the region, Fort Meade is easy place to live and work in the Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC corridor.
